Discover the charm of the Istrian countryside with an exclusive experience in the village of Korte above Izola! Embark on an unforgettable adventure, guided throughout the entire experience by a local who will lead you through the archaeological site of Kašler, where you will explore the history of the Histrians and admire the panoramic views of the Sečovlje Salt Pans. The journey includes a wine tasting session at the Korenika & Moškon wine cellar, accessible through picturesque village streets. A simulation of laundry washing at the Frata water source will ensure plenty of laughter.

Description
The active day begins in the village of Korte above Izola, where, among other things, you can find the Kašler archaeological site, boasting a beautiful view over the Sečovlje salt pans and a significant part of history. In the company of a local, you will take a walk precisely to the spot, where 5,000 years ago the Histri built the first fortified settlements. The guide will take you into the past with stories that will make you discover a piece of their legacy. Your guide will take you along colourful, narrow streets of Korte to the Korenika & Moškon Winery. A tasting of exquisite local wine and some snacks is just what you need to keep you active for the rest of the afternoon. Next, you will walk to the Frata water source, which is a great opportunity to find out more interesting facts about this rural setting. Years ago, these water sources were the only source of water in the area. People used the water for doing laundry, for drinking, and they also included throughs for livestock. You will get to see and test your skills in the chores that used to take place here back in the day. Do you think you have what it takes to do well?

9 AM Gathering at the meeting point: Cooperative centre in Korte

12:30 AM Visit of the water source under the village of Korte and old-fashioned laundry
2 PM Ending in front of the Cooperative centre in Korte
You must book the experience at least two (2) days in advance: by Monday at the latest.
The number of participants for each date will be communicated on Mondays. If there are no bookings for a date, the experience will not take place.
In case of bad weather, the experience will not take place. The purchased experience will be held on another available date or refunded.
