Our meeting point is in the shade of the poplar in Seebad Salinera in Strunjan. Everyone gets their own equipment here. For those who try SUP for the first time, we explain and show the bare essentials that we need to paddle to start.
In the water we take a moment to get used to the SUP. By the way we say “hello” to the cormorants who spend the winter here and continue on the path of 50 shades of blue-green towards the Moon bay. 50 shades of blue-gree we say, because the sea here often changes color.
The first longer break is in the Moon bay. In front of us we see flysch cliff covered with olive trees. The cliff is called “Ronek” and is the highest cliff in the north of the Adriatic Sea. We use the break for refreshment and a jump into the water. Because the sea is clearest here, we take time for snorkeling and admiring the seabed.
The sun is already high in the sky, so we make our way along numerous ships that are anchored along the coast. With the help of the current we paddle easier up to the beach under Belveder. Behind us is a distance of 4 km. Who would think so, right?
Minimal number of participants: 4

Description
Mesečev zaliv – the Moon bay is one of the Slovenian natural treasures. The clear seabed, covered with long flysch rocks, is rich in sea fauna that we can admire from a SUP perspective. Schools of fish and shells, which we can admire in the clear sea water, are our company along the whole way.
